This position also plays an integral role in developing strategic relationships with other firms where we support not only Department of Energy projects, but other Federal and international work and commercial projects with these partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Introduce the overall Company capabilities to the Department of Energy and Department of Energy contractors;
  • Support the strategic development of Geosyntec's long term DOE strategy and growth including revenue objectives and strategic partnerships;
  • Leverage knowledge and experience to help expand business opportunities, practices, capabilities, and revenue growth within the Department of Energy market;
  • Guide Company resources on technical approach and proposals for Department of Energy programs and projects; other Federal and commercial projects as requested;
  • Support other Company Leaders with market and business development efforts with other Federal Agencies including the USACE, EPA and Commercial Power market sectors;
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Develop proposal strategies and support proposal execution and delivery.
  • Overnight travel: Typically, approximately 40%
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Economics, Business, or similar area. (required)
  • Project Management Professional certification. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of business development experience with Department of Energy projects for a civil or environmental engineering firm or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the business development and management of clients. (required)
  • Excellent leadership skills. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, overseeing multiple assignments, meetings strict deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required).

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified California locations below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Based on state and federal requirements, this position may be hourly and overtime-eligible or salaried eligible for straight-time overtime. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Wage: $122,500/yearly / Maximum Wage: $196,000/year (Los Angeles and San Francisco)
