Job Description

Moog's Fluids Controls Group leads multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions for complex technical applications in the rapidly growing Space Sector. In this role, you will be working on a variety of development and production programs where you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, quality, and production of assigned Space products including:

  • Rocket Engine components and fluid control devices for bi-propellant, mono-propellant and cryogenic rocket engines
  • Valves for environmental control and life support on crewed space vehicles
  • Fluid control valves and systems for other space applications, such as SLS & EUS

As an Associate Product Engineer in the Fluid Controls Group, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to efforts to transition development products into the production environment while maintaining design integrity, producibility, and quality of production products.
  • Participate in design for manufacturing/production and LEAN production systems.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve production assembly and test plans, methods, procedures, and training for new and existing products.
  • Develop and improve test fixtures and equipment.
  • Perform required mechanical engineering analysis or testing to assess non-conformances/technical issues that occur during development or production.
  • Develop RCCA analyses that ensure long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Contribute to new proposals that leverage existing heritage, technical volumes and cost estimates.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Exhibit strong technical and mechanical design skills:

o CAD Experience (NX Preferred) with exposure to GD&T

o Ability to interpret, review, and modify technical drawings

o Mechanical analysis (ANSYS, Matlab/Simulink, Mathcad or Excel)

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $60,736 - $77,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits
