As part of Manufacturing and Logistics, the WF Service Logistics Department concentrates on the availability of spare parts to ensure a healthy fill-rate and satisfy customer expectations. Service Logistics is responsible for the planning, management, expediting, reporting, and adjustment of service activities, as well as the numerous daily escalations from our field sites.

Job mission

The Critical Parts Planner plans and coordinates all critical parts, expedites in demand, and provides accurate supply plans to our demand planning colleagues; including but not limited to expediting material, managing incoming orders, reporting out to internal customers and the handling of daily customer escalations with a focus on customer service.

Roles and responsibilities
  • MRP-integrity: Coordinate and maintain all outgoing Critical Service spare demand in SAP.

  • Order preparation & control: Plan service shipments for spares, taking into account all products, available resources (material and capacity), and various demand-sources. Interact with the cross-sector to meet customer demands and replenishment lead-times.

  • Daily escalations: Having the flexibility and ability to switch gears constantly to support daily emergencies and tasks that arise from our customers and the factory.

  • Recording: Daily/weekly reporting on department specific KPIs.

  • Reporting and communication: Anticipate problems and proactively communicate across various departments to solution. Report on production progress, delays and causes. Initiate actions to correct deviations from planning, taking the necessary escalation steps.

  • Hold cross functional meetings: Communicate with various departments within logistics; including but not limited to Business Planning, Operational Supplier Coordinators, Product Lifecycle Management, and Logistics Supplier Manager.

  • Weekly meetings with Veldhoven demand planning to status critical parts and inventory below fill rate

Education and experience
  • BA / BS degree preferred. Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED required.

  • 3+ years experience in customer service, materials, inventory control, and/or production planning or equivalent experience.

  • Must have strong computer skills especially with Excel. SAP experience a plus.

  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.

  • Software: Microsoft Excel is a must. SAP a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
