Outside Sales positions represent the company for the rental and sales of construction equipment to customers in surrounding A Tool Shed store locations. Outside Sales will need to have tenacity for forming relationships with new customers and the finesse to keep our loyal customers. For over 80 years A Tool Shed has been providing equipment to professionals as well as homeowners, and we a looking for a special rep to step outside the equipment yard and share what A Tool Shed has available. We now have 8 locations in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito, and Monterey counties.

Duties:

• * Solicits to rental customers and follows up on rental sales leads
• * Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment
• * Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management
• * Maintains all customer information for sales management
• * Knows and follows a defined sales process
• * Assists stores with the preparation and execution of customer reservations
• * Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• * Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills
• * Effective communication and negotiation skills
• * Solid computer skills
• * Knowledge of ground protection, construction or specialty industrial equipment preferred
• * Bilingual (Spanish) may be preferred in some locations
• * The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Requirements

• * Qualified Candidates should have a minimum of three years' experience in a construction or equipment-related environment.
• * Some college in related field with at least 1 year of related experience OR 3-4 years of related sales experience
• * Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
