The AES Clean Energy finance team is seeking an FP&A Analyst excited about the renewables business. Experience in SAP is preferred. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for tracking and controlling the AES Clean Energy SG&A and maintenance Capex budgets. Under the direction of the FP&A Manager, the position will play a key role in the Company's on budget execution of investments and G&A. High emotional intelligence, resourcefulness, collaborative, problem solving, organizational skills and a proactive attitude will position the successful candidate to earn a rewarding opportunity with this fast-growing company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The FP&A Analyst's duties will include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Be responsible for uploading and maintaining SG&A budgets in SAP Funds Management
  • Monitor and control SG&A spend with the cost center owners in the organization.
  • Be responsible for uploading and maintaining maintenance Capex budgets in SAP Investment Management
  • Monitor and control Maintenance Capex budgets with Asset Management and the Investment Planning Leader
  • Support the preparation of portions of the Company's annual budget and monthly forecast process.
  • Investigate, explain, and present budget to actual variances to leadership.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing various items in the Company's monthly reporting packages, including budget versus actual reports and explain variances to management.
  • Contribute to periodic and ad-hoc initiatives of the FP&A department.

Requirements:

  • Desire to build a career in FP&A or cost control.
  • Effective coordinator and communicator of financial information.
  • Ability to work effectively with accounting systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred experience:

  • SAP - Investment Management.
  • SAP - Funds Management.
  • Renewable Energy.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $65,000 and $80,750/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
