Overview

Under the general direction of the Director, Corporate Security, the Senior Security Specialist is responsible for the administration and management of Patelco' s physical security systems including access control, enterprise video management, and alarm systems. The Senior Security Specialist also participates in all aspects of the corporate security function including assisting with safety evacuation exercises, systems maintenance, and site security and safety assessments.


Responsibilities

**This position is an on-site position based out of the Dublin CA Headquarters office.**

  • Assists and provides backup to the Director, Corporate Security, as needed.
  • Administers the physical security systems, including access control, hold-up alarms and enterprise video.
  • Performs evaluation of video review requests / investigations (whether internal or from law enforcement) and maintains a detailed "Jira" report of all activity.
  • Supervises access badging function, oversees contracted security officer badge creation, validates a valid "Jira" ticket was processed and conducts regular quality assurance audits, creating metrics and measure contracted security KPIs.
  • Provides oversite of the contracted security officer operation of the biometrics access control operation.
  • Assists in developing and managing security and safety programs, including but not limited to Illness Injury Prevention Plan and Emergency Action Plan to meet the physical security needs employees, clients, visitors, and property.
  • Supports implementation of and adherence to all aspects of Health and Safety, OSHA, CAL/OSHA compliance and applicable laws and regulations in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Actively participates in Safety Committee to proactively identify and respond to workplace safety hazards and concerns.
  • Point of contact for engagement with employees in person, virtually, by phone and email, as needed on safety/security issues.
  • Assists, audits, and provides oversight of the security systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with policy.
  • Assists with physical security operations to include analysis of access control alarms and incident reports.
  • Assists in developing and implementing new and revised methods and procedures.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a challenging fast paced work environment; flexible and adaptable.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related demonstrated experience.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited US college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in a related field, or related experience.
  • Appropriate certification(s) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) or the commitment to obtain within 18 months.
  • Experience administering security systems like C-Cure 9000, Lenel, Milestone or Solink.
  • Excellent computer skills MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Access, Project & Excel)
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate orientation to detail.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a challenging fast paced work environment; flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with management, team members, employee representatives and the public representing diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Well organized, team-player who demonstrates initiative and motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift at least fifty pounds.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A valid California driver's license is required due to off-site work assignments.

Target Base Pay

$34.06 - $40.08 / per hour
