Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Consults closely with the other Server & Storage team members, Network Architect, and Desktop Engineering Architect to design and mature a next-gen hybrid and hyperconverged Enterprise server infrastructure that will take El Camino Health into a leading-edge environment.

  • Strategic planning, architect & design, forecasting, deployment, documentation, capacity management, of the Microsoft enterprise and Azure Cloud datacenter systems that run our applications across the organization.

  • Daily interaction with Cyber Security, Applications Analysts, Database Administrators, and other members of Technical Services on the day-to-day operations and projects that depend on server and storage components.

  • Mentoring technical team members, some project management skills, excellent troubleshooting, and communication skills required for success.

  • Provide Level III support for issues with compute, network, and storage associated with Azure cloud datacenter and on-premises enterprise Microsoft systems.

  • Design solutions in Microsoft Azure and on-premises enterprise Microsoft systems as per project specifications and needs.

  • Will be required to provide after hour's on-call rotation with some evening and weekend work required as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field AND 10 year's relevant server and storage work experience in Information Technology within healthcare or other high-availability environment.

  • Successful completion of one or both certifications for MCSE and Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect are required. Must present evidence of certifications.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server enterprise environments and the various systems required to maintain, manage, and run these systems successfully across the enterprise.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Datacenter environments and the various systems required to maintain, manage, and run these systems successfully across the enterprise.

  • Experience with Linux server systems a bonus.

  • Strong preference given to local candidates.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • Microsoft Azure Architect Certification(s)

  • Microsoft Enterprise Server Certification(s)

$64.88 - $97.32 USD Hourly
