$41.46/hour (Step 1) - $54.20/hour (Step 5)
Reports To
Administrative Support Officer or a designated supervisory classification in the Documentation Division of the Resiliency and Innovation Department in the Office of Infrastructure Delivery (OID)
Current Assignment
This announcement will be used to fill two (2) Technical Publications Analyst positions.
Under general supervision, creates, edits, and coordinates the preparation and publishing of the District's hard copy and electronic publications; coordinates and provides standards for the publication of technical documents; performs the more difficult technical writing; provides lead direction to assigned staff; and performs related duties as assigned.
Incumbents in this classification perform technical support in the preparation, maintenance and control of technical documents, such as engineering specifications, standards, reports, procedures, and maintenance manuals. They work at a high level of independence with responsibility for daily work priorities and standards within established policies and procedures. This is a non-supervisory classification that reviews work performed by others to ensure compliance with District standards and requirements.
Selection Process
This is a SEIU Local 1021 Bargaining unit position. However, All SEIU members must follow the "Bid Form Process", failure to comply will invalidate an employee's application.
The Employment Office will screen bids/applications/resumes against the minimum qualifications. Those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be referred to the hiring department for further consideration. The selection process may involve a skills/performance test, written exam, and/or a panel interview. Outside applicants will not be considered until all employees who have applied have been considered first.
