The Assistant Project Scientist will lead a project in the lab of Professor Evan Miller to improve the brightness of near infrared fluorophores for bioimaging, develop synthetic methods for application of time-resolved fluorescent indicators for biological analytes, and investigate cellular electrical coupling.
The selected candidate will design, perform, and analyze research. The selected candidate will communicate the findings of research in written and oral formats. Communication of these findings related to the research (including, but not limited to advanced synthetic methods, cellular physiology, and optical spectroscopy) could be in formal and informal settings.
This Assistant Project Scientist position will include the mentoring of junior scientists at the undergraduate, graduate student, and postdoctoral level. The selected candidate will participate in mentoring activities as well as make positive contributions to the academic research mission of the Miller lab.
