Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general guidance from the Supervisor, Data Network Validation, the Provider Network Data Clerk is responsible for providing support to the Provider Services Department. The Provider Network Data Clerk is an entry level position that may be eligible to be flexed into the Provider Data Coordinator I position after completion of 6-12 months to be proficient with program and system knowledge in addition to meeting performance matrix.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Process W9 forms (new and revised) for billing and pay to verifications in HealthSuite, Provider Repository.
  • Create and maintain Provider Change Forms and Service Request weekly packets.
  • Call provider offices if additional information is needed for completion of data changes.
  • Print rejected PNFs and mails them to the provider(s).
  • Perform audits of the Alliance Provider Directory by calling providers to verify that information is current.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming departmental correspondence, including postal mail, e-mail, voicemail, and faxes.
  • Copy and distribute departmental information, updates, and memos.
  • Provide clerical support for the department including typing, filing, faxing, copying, supply ordering.
  • Research, compile, and analyze data for special projects.
  • Operate general office equipment such as personal computer, copier, calculator, fax or other office machines.
  • File Amendments, contracts or other documents in the corresponding contract folder accurately.
  • Accurately scan documents and electronically file them in the appropriate contract folder, such as Sharepoint or shared drives as directed.
  • Collaborate with entire Data team to identify staff training and development needs for improved performance.
  • Support continuous improvement of Data team effectiveness.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Process W9 forms in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Creates service request packets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming communications.
  • Provide support to the department.
  • Accurate and timely completion of reports and special projects.
  • Comply with the organization's Code of Conduct, all regulatory and contractual requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Constant and close visual work at desk or computer.
  • Constant sitting and working at desk.
  • Constant data entry using keyboard and/or mouse.
  • Frequent use of telephone headset.
  • Frequent verbal and written communication with staff and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person.
  • Frequent lifting of folders and other objects weighing between 0 and 10 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and standing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:

High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized administrative courses or college degree.

MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of experience related to administrative, clerical, and/or data entry experience required.

SALARY RANGE $19.13-$28.70 HOURLY
