Location: Seven Points Garage

Schedule: Full Time - Tues - Sat 2 pm - 10 pm

Rate: $17.00/hr

The Garage Attendant provides a high level of customer service to all garage parkers, provide quality control by ensuring cars are being parked in an appropriate fashion and assist the garage managers with general garage operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help customers with any payments issues they may have at exit.
  • Be able to answer customers questions regarding the parking facility
  • Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
  • Walk the facility to look for parking violations.
  • Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot.
  • Aid customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
  • Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in proper uniform.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers via radio
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager such as informing the maintenance team of any shortcomings or changing paper in machines.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc... to garage office.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
  • Be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to deal with seasonal elements (hot summers, cold winters).
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education. Customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Availability to Work: Must be willing to work weekends upon request. Some special shifts required, early mornings, late nights based on the Arena Districts' event schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time. Be able to deal with the seasonal elements (hot/cold temperatures). Employee must be able to lift up to fifty pounds. Required to walk the facility on a daily basis, this includes walking up and down stairwells to inspect for debris, trash, etc...
