Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision load and unload material within production area to designated storage locations or staging areas. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists or other handling equipment to move material to and from the production or the receiving area to assigned locations within the production area. Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment and experience.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Assist and organize daily activity workflow on the production floor
  • Sorts, counts, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is received
  • Reconcile inventory on a daily basis; conduct physical count, stock, track, and reconcile inventory
  • Enter daily inventory transactions in company database and process pulling of items for production
  • Run daily backorder fill report and compare with material needs
  • Collaboration with Production to begin staging jobs with the production floor
  • Stage customer jobs; analyze bill of material for accuracy and part specifications, pull materials from inventory, and coordinate with proper production department to begin job process
  • Interface with suppliers to discuss inventory issues; amount on hand, value, process flow, and turnaround time ratio
  • Ensure quality control by checking received products for damage, or missing components
  • Process damaged items and report and picture all damaged goods to assist our shipping coordinator with damage claims
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment
  • Operate dollies, pallet jacks, and/or a forklift in to load and unload supplies and equipment
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety
  • Expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas
  • Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts
  • Generate reports in regards to material flow
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of relevant warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic literacy and numerical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High level of organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/ production environment
  • Ability to multi-task

Training and License Requirements:

  • Tesco Controls, safety training program
  • Forklift certification required or have the ability to obtain certification

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time
  • Heavy physical demands; walking, standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting will constitute 100% of work shift


Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Work performed in a factory environment

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
