Purpose:

  • Manage key categories of expenditure as assigned, utilizing strategic sourcing methodologies to maximize the value from LS&Co.'s indirect supplier base in support of company objectives

Key Results:

  • Support and contribute to delivery of annual GSS team savings target as well as delivery of individual target
  • Execution of project milestones leveraging strategic sourcing methodology
  • Supplier Management:
    • Maintain or reduce global supplier count for respective category of focus
    • Support and drive supplier diversity efforts

Additional Information and Key Metrics:

  • Manage Global indirect spend for Technology across all brands (Levi's, Dockers and Beyond Yoga) and geographies.
  • Track and measure progress against defined individual and team metrics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels as well as external suppliers.
  • Develop a rolling 3 year global category strategy that aligns with business objectives. Strategy includes but is not limited to, supply market analysis, price/service level benchmarking, sourcing events (RFP/e-auction), supplier negotiations, ongoing supplier relationship management.
  • Drive supplier cost and contract negotiations, ensuring LS&Co. is competitive in the marketplace.
  • Ensure that benefits from strategic sourcing activities are sustained and extended during the period of the contract.
  • Build and institutionalize market intelligence capabilities (people, database, information, analysis) within categories of focus, regarding key markets, suppliers, and solutions to support strategy development.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders for category team engagement.
  • Lead and coach sourcing analysts and sourcing support teams, where project support is required.
  • Develop, distribute and analyze RFP and RFI responses

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree required

Years and Type of Experience Required: 5+ years of indirect sourcing experience across categories of spend such as, IT, Marketing, Distribution & Logistics, Facilities, Professional Services and HR.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to quickly build relationships across a spectrum of stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, swiftly becoming a trusted advisor to the business on all things sourcing related
  • Experience working on business process improvement and/or strategy projects
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and execute on different negotiation levers
  • Solid business judgement, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions & initiatives
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resiliencies when faced with challenges.
  • Strong team player with the ability to consider and incorporate multiple prospective to drive category objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in procurement practices & technologies and market trends related to assigned categories of goods and services.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict management abilities
  • Effective communication across multiple languages, countries and cultures
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
  • E-auction experience
  • Experience with Procure-to-Pay technology solutions a plus

Complexity and Accountability: Technology sourcing expertise, delivery of in-year savings targets (both team and individual).

Key partners & Interaction:

  • Internal: Global Category Stakeholders, and regional global strategic sourcing leads

  • External (if applicable): Indirect supplier base

Scope: Global Category Spend across all brands and geographies

    he expected starting salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
