Job Summary
The Urology Faculty Practice is a high volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract conditions. These include common problems such as kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Our team is also nationally known for expert repair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse as defined by the California Board of Registered Nursing and completion from a college or university based Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Current CA RN License with proof of Nurse Practitioner Status
- Two - five (2 - 5) years of current surgery, urology, transgender and/or women's health experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of (3) years of recent RN experience in an acute and/or ambulatory care setting, Academic Medical Center strongly preferred
- Inpatient experience
License/Certification
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
- Hold current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
- Accepted Certifications for this position:Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-C)*, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC)* , Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC)* Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult-Gerontology) (ACNPC-AG) Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC) Link to UCSF NP Certification Table for reference:
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California
- Completed a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
- Hold current AHA BLS as minimum requirement
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1
