Job Summary
The Cardiology Critical Care Nurse Practitioner position has clinical, procedural, administrative, and educational responsibilities in the care of adult patients requiring assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment in the critical care setting. Under the supervision of the Chief of Cardiology Critical Care and the Heart & Vascular Director of Advanced Practice Providers, the Cardiology Intensive Care APP (CICU APP) will have a critical role in the inpatient setting, with both team member and individual duties. These responsibilities will include examination and assessment, diagnosis, and planning; treatment implementation, coordination, and continuity; performance of specific procedures; development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality of care; education of patients, families and other health care practitioners.
One of the following National NP Board Certifications are required: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
