Job Description
This position is in the Department of Microbiology & Plant Pathology, and will involve working in the laboratory, greenhouse, growth chamber, and occasionally in the field. Under the direction of Dr. Olawole, this position will assist with making media, cleaning glassware, pathogen testing of bacterial-infected plants, data collection from plant studies, and working closely with a postdoc to assist in relevant ongoing projects.
The full salary range for the Lab Assistant 1 is $19.43 to $22.49 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $19.43 to $20.87 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
