Kazakia Lab - Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist
The Kazakia Lab is seeking a Junior, Assistant, Associate, or Full Specialist. This position is currently available in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in Quantitative Musculoskeletal Imaging Facility (QMIF) directed by Dr. Kazakia.
The QMIF is a research core that operates a high resolution peripheral quantitative CT (HR-pQCT) system and a dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) system. The QMIF core performs imaging acquisition and analysis of HR-pQCT and DXA data for UCSF researchers interested in musculoskeletal and body composition outcomes.
The candidate will interact with clinical research coordinators and study participants, operate the scanners, and perform advanced image processing and data analysis as required.
Responsibilities will include HR-pQCT and DXA data acquisition, quality control procedures, data backups, image processing and analysis. In addition, the candidate will work as part of a large team of clinical and research collaborators in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical imaging, interacting with clinical research coordinators, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and scientists with the department, as well as scientists and physicians from other departments.
