ROLE

Under close supervision, performs routine recordkeeping, data analysis, and preparation of financial statements that are simple to moderately complex. Role will vary based on assignment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF - ACCOUNTANT

  • Analyzes and reconciles accounts.
  • Prepares and makes entries into accounting information systems. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and corresponding supporting documentation.
  • Analyzes financial statements and reports unusual or questionable items.
  • Assists in preparing budgets and reviewing performance against budget.
  • Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports as required.
  • Assist in year-end audit process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

  • Two years of related experience, ideally in public accounting.
  • Knowledge of technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications, and programs in Accounting.
  • Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
  • Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CPA license preferred.
