Job Description
The TRIO Scholars program at UC Riverside is a Student Support Services (SSS) project federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program goal is to improve the retention and graduation rates of first-generation and income qualified students, and students with disabilities. The TRIO Scholars program is funded to serve 140 undergraduate students and provides holistic services to help students succeed at UCR and beyond. The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for providing advising to a caseload of participants, to include assistance with course planning, navigating campus resources, career preparation, and graduate school exploration. In addition, the Coordinator will oversee the tutoring program, graduate mentor program, and plan educational field trips and events. The Coordinator will work with the Director of TRIO College programs to recruit program participants, document program services in compliance with federal regulations, and collect data for annual performance reports. This position is grant funded and is subject to availability of continued grant funding. The grant is in year 4 of a 5 year grant cycle.

The full salary range for the Student Success Coordinator position is $23.85 to $24.90 per hour. However, the expected budget for this position is $24.90. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
