Description

We are seeking a dynamic Client Business Manager based in Miami, responsible for expanding our market presence. This role involves cultivating relationships with identified accounts as well as capitalizing on strategic opportunities with new clients. Collaborating closely with our dealer partners, you will play a key role in devising and executing effective strategies for opportunity, account, and market development.

What You Will Be Doing:

Within assigned accounts, you will serve as the primary contact for Steelcase and will be responsible for understanding the client's business issues and aspirations, and developing relationships across real estate, facilities, procurement, IT, and HR functions to create selling opportunities. You will build and maintain a strong network of influencers from the architect, design, and real estate community and partner with the local Steelcase team and dealer to develop and own a market business development strategy. This role provides opportunities to develop business inside of accounts and with the market-at-large.

  • Continually learn and effectively position Steelcase advantages: product attributes, services, research, and insights.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and dealer partners regionally on business strategy, marketing initiatives, and occasional special projects to grow Steelcase brand and business.

  • Collaborate and maintain business activity through Salesforce CRM.

  • Curious mindset to demonstrate understanding about client's issues.

  • Team player while demonstrating leadership and influencing abilities

  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the furniture industry sales model is a plus.

  • A savvy business developer who is self-motivated, well-adapted and results oriented.

  • Connected in the Miami market with end-users and partners in the built environment sector.

  • Commitment to excellence, accuracy in work and attention to detail.

  • Dynamic communication skills including presentation, written and verbal.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with coaching and mentoring capabilities.

  • High level of organizational and management skills necessary for coordinating large, complex projects with a multi-disciplined team.

  • Business acumen across industries and business issue levels.

  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge within a multidimensional industry and/or selling capital products or services.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Business, Communications or Interior Design/Architecture degree.

  • Experience in a high performing consultative sales or closely related role.

  • Experience working with distribution partners and/or a strong understanding of the contract furniture industry is a plus.
