  • Solely overseeing all aspects of financial information, as it relates to the operation of Ghirardelli's eighteen store locations and the operation of its web-based E-Commerce business.
  • Solely in charge of R&R's monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Report preparation Ghirardelli's Leadership Team and the decentralized operational management.
  • Manage and direct all aspects of the monthly close including the communication with other departments, store and E-Com management in order to ensure all information requirements and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and/or review account reconciliations of all accounting cycles (e. g. bank, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, etc.), ensuring that complete and accurate support, as well as thorough analysis of account balances is available.
  • Prepare, review, upload, and post journal entries when required ensuring proper methodology for calculations and maintaining proper supporting documentation.
  • Represent accounting operation during system implementation projects, as they relate to store and E-Com reporting, and continuously maintain/improve system functionalities.
  • Directs and complete other special projects and duties, as necessary.
  • Overseeing and coordinating communication and cooperation with external auditors to achieve tight corporate timelines set by international management.

The Accounting Manager R&R represents a critical role in accurately and timely processing financial data and generating prompt and accurate financial reporting for Company Leadership team and operations management, as it related to the Ghirardelli's Retail and E-Commerce activities. Responsible for effective cooperation with other accounting (e. g. Vendor AP, payment processing) and business functions (e. g. warehousing and order fulfillment), thereby securing efficient and timely flow of financial information.


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a solid understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
  • Minimum of at least 5 years of job-related experience, Retail and E-Commerce experience is a plus.
  • Proficient experience with ERP, POS systems and other financial reporting tools is a plus.
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to work seated or standing for at least 8 hours
  • Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail
  • Works in a normal office environment
  • Required to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary Range: $130K-$155K/yr. + Bonus Eligibility
