Job Summary
The Development Coordinator will support the Annual & Special Giving fundraising directors whose multichannel, mass and bespoke marketing solicitations reach more than 250,000 households, multiple times throughout the year, and produce more than $35M/ annually. The position will be responsible for coordinating select solicitation campaigns as assigned. A particular focus will be executing, throughout the year, vital medicine department and division solicitations that raise nearly $1.5M/annually and calendar-year and fiscal year pieces that raise nearly$500k. A functional emphasis will be placed on project management, data reporting/ tracking, and process management.
The Development Coordinator will interface with a variety of teams across UDAR, including Portfolio Teams, Advancement Communications, Information Services, Prospect Development, Special Events, and Central Services. Successful candidates will have a very high attention to detail, the ability to understand and analyze and track donor data, and manage projects, timelines, and deliverables, while gathering input from a variety of constituencies, and managing multiple, high-level projects under tight deadlines.
Implements specific plans for fundraising and alumni relations programs and activities; or may plan, administer, and implement an established fundraising project or program of limited scope and complexity. Provides basic analysis of program trends and results; assists in developing materials; and coordinates work of support staff. Position is expected to raise gift dollar amounts as established at each specialization.

Department Description
The UCSF Foundation and the Office of University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) are responsible for fostering and strengthening the campus outreach efforts to UCSF constituents and for garnering private support for the campus and the Medical Center. In raising private support, UDAR identifies, qualifies, solicits and stewards donors for the schools, medical centers, departments and programs on campus; accepts and administers all private gifts to the university through The Regents or the UCSF Foundation; and manages all alumni relations activities, campus support group activities and campus events. The UDAR office staffs the UCSF Foundation. The office is also responsible for the design and implementation of fundraising campaigns for UCSF.
