Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of a multi-location network that includes Routers, Switches, Load-balancers, Anti-DOS devices, LAN, VLAN, WANs, VPNs, Firewalls, wireless, and the physical components of a network.
  • Support Production, R&D, and QA with design, implementation, problem-solving and documentation. Work with application architects and engineers to define hardware and software requirements, as and when needed.
  • Responsible for maintenance of local (San Carlos and Santa Clara) and remote US Data Centers that includes physical installation, configuration, and proper cabling of networking hardware components, including routers and switches.
  • Work with other MIS managers to ensure cross-team projects are effectively handled.
  • Support an elite Cloud and E-commerce site network; work with web, e-commerce, cloud service PODs, and security-services software engineers to develop, deploy and maintain public-facing high web-traffic applications.
  • Provide operational support for the company's network and security needs and providing 24x7 on-call support, working at times to support multiple geographic data center locations.
  • Evaluate/recommend purchases, and conduct return-on-investment analysis.
  • Provide real-time metrics for all traffic. Actively participate in the development and improvement of monitoring systems.

Qualifications
  • Hybrid: If located in Bay Area, must go into office 2-4 days/week.
  • If located in Texas - Travel Required: Must travel to California office 1x/month or every other month (1 week duration).
  • 4+ years of experience administering networks, internet security, and UNIX systems.
  • Periodic travel to our San Francisco location for on-site work is required.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and experience with Cisco switches and routers, Cisco ISE, load balancers (Citrix Netscaler, A10 load-balancer), and routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and deploying environments for LANs, WANs, and security frameworks.
  • Experience developing vendor relationships with telecom and data-communication service providers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce usable and maintainable documentation.
  • Great problem-solving abilities and initiative and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Ability to provide a professional interface to internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Experience on Check Point Firewall/VPN devices is a plus.
  • Experience on VMware environment and infrastructure is desired.
  • Internet and e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.

The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We'll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage disclosure has not been adjusted for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location at which this position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $90,900-$156,150. In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
