Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Graduate Student Affairs Manager and in close consultation with the Department Graduate Student Advisor, Department Chair, and as a liaison to the Bourns College of Engineering (BCoE) Associate Dean responsible for Research and Graduate Education, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and administrating all aspects of the Material Science and Engineering(MSE) academic program, with a special focus on the graduate program. The major functional areas include (1) Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions; (2) Student Advising; (3) Program Management and Development; and (4) Special Projects. Additionally, the incumbent interfaces with the BCoE Student Affairs office to facilitate and support undergraduate education program objectives, affiliated programs and areas wherein MSE faculty possess specialized knowledge, such as materials science.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
