The Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention, Program in Public Health at the University of California-Irvine seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher for research to examine quality of life after cancer in the UCI Behavioral Medicine Research Laboratory (www.bmed.publichealth.uci.edu).
We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual who has excellent management, organization, communication, intervention, and research skills, and understands cancer survivorship.
This person will:
1) Lead efforts in the recruitment and enrollment of research participants
2) Work closely with the principal investigator to administer research assessments and facilitate biological specimen collection and transport
3) Deliver behavioral interventions to research participants
4) Maintain project documentation and reporting
5) Assist in grant writing and research dissemination.

Requirements:
1) PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or other related field in the behavioral sciences with counseling or psychotherapy experience
2) Knowledge and skills related to research project management, data collection, intervention delivery or psychotherapy, and proposal and manuscript writing
3) Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
4) Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
5) Strong teamwork skills. Prior experience in behavioral medicine research or cancer survivorship research is a plus. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred.
