Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYInventory Control Associate is responsible for the efficient daily organization of the distribution branch's warehousing locations; including but not limited to: Inventory management and research, maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing bin locations, maintaining product within a bin, and safety in accordance with the Company's objectives. Providing feedback with a sense of urgency & organization to achieve optimal results. Also, providing support to general operational tasks

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 4:00am - 12:30pm + rotating Saturda'y's. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To accurately count and organize the warehouse bin locations.
  • Work closely with the Distribution Center Manager to review and provide suggestions aimed to improve operational efficiency.
  • Routinely performs warehouse walk through.
  • Reviews & organizes warehouse bin locations.
  • Utilizes stand up forklift to perform duties.
  • Daily cycle counting.
  • Daily Put Away Audit.
  • Introductory report of bin organization.
  • Maintains housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area.
  • Promotes positive environment with professional and friendly behavior.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

* Ability to be flexible to changing conditions and needs

* Ability to work independently and with other people

* Strong oral English communication skills

* Able to maintain confidentiality

* Able to interface, work, and communicate with people of varied backgrounds and at all levels

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

* Tire industry knowledge preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to all team members and levels within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
