Northern California Health Solutions Practice Leader

Are you passionate about leading a team of health and benefits account executives dedicated to providing strategic advice to clients as well as expanding Aon's market presence? If so, this could be the role for you.

This is a hybrid or office-based leadership role that will be based in our San Francisco, CA office.

What the day will look like

Using your leadership skills, you will encourage your team, drive innovative solutions to client problems, and grow our business in the Northern California market. You will supervise and lead the market's client satisfaction, profitability, and excellence in delivery. You will provide strategic leadership on new business pursuits and serve as executive sponsor to key clients. You will drive colleague engagement and retention and help grow our talent.

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision and direction of the Northern California market
  • Partner and collaborate with other business partners for growth, strategic direction, and client service
  • Grow revenue and increase market share within the Northern California market
  • Lead overall financial performance and business P&L to include revenue and overall profitability
  • Develop local strategies to improve client acquisition, satisfaction, and retention
  • Lead and partner with local leadership team to implement and complete local, regional and national initiatives
  • Drive colleague engagement and proactively build and maintain a talent pipeline
  • Network with external senior talent across the industry to deepen succession plans and strengthen the practice
  • Focus on leadership development by serving as a mentor and coach to direct reports and other high potential talent
  • Keep a pulse on emerging business opportunities and partner with the Innovation Team to bring new insights and solutions to clients
  • Work with other Health Solutions leaders to better understand our clients' current and future challenges and use that information to explore potential solutions

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Fifteen plus years of health and benefits consulting and/or leadership experience at a competitor, carrier or client
  • Experience in leading a team of client-focused colleagues
  • Proven track record for growth

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Master's of Business Administration is preferred.
  • Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000 to $350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
