Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) is searching for a Head of Office to join the Hyundai CRADLE Silicon Valley team in Mountain View, CA:

The Head of Office for Hyundai CRADLE Silicon Valley will be part of a Silicon Valley-based team of professionals engaging in creating corporate innovation for the HMG.

Responsibilities

As the Head of Hyundai CRADLE Silicon Valley, you will play a pivotal role in setting the creative direction for our business models of future mobility and spreading the impact of creativity and innovation throughout HMG. Your main responsibilities would be:

* Define new opportunity to drive business dynamics aligned with the HMG's focus areas (MECA, Robot, UAM, AI) and to foster future business models for HMG.

* Design creative concepts of product/service that blend technology for customer-centric business models.

* Demonstrate concepts of collaboration between internal and external stakeholders (tech firms, startups, research institutions) through Proof-of Concept, joint development, commercialization, and strategic investment.

* Cultivate and leverage relationships with tech professionals to access cutting-edge technologies and new ideas in order to spread technical insights to the management at the HQ.

* Lead and drive innovative activities with the desire of inspiring change and setting new standards in the industry, challenging conventions, and influencing the course of creative and technological progress.

* Build and guide a team of professionals in product development, strategic investment, and partnership by providing mentorship and inspiration to drive innovation initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications

* Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset by identifying opportunities for growth, creating new ventures or partnerships, and driving innovation-driven initiatives.

* Proven track record of driving innovative projects for technical product development and commercialization with the ability to clearly articulate product vision, and influence strategic direction based on that vision.

* Extensive, referenceable network of contacts and further development of local network by utilizing HMC's brand value and dealing with local partners in global technology sector.

* Understand the technology and industrial trend in Automotive Tech, Mobility, and Smart Devices area.

* Proven success in managing people and building innovative organizational culture in a cross-functional environment to encourage and motivate team members to maximize the utilization of their capabilities with fairness and respect.

* Ability to proactively engage with internal stakeholders to provide technical roadmaps and insights based on the identification of emerging technologies and market trends.

* Demonstrate financial acumen and fiscal responsibility in projects under her or his management to ensure they are financially sound and stay within budget guidelines.

* Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; validated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly prioritize and lead cross-functional teams under pressure.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience in leading product development team at Big Tech Company or Startup

* Past director level or above management experience at a top technology company is strongly preferred

* Proficient in conceptualizing tech product/service and building go-to-market strategies

* Master's Degree in a technical discipline; Advanced degree is highly preferred

* At least 15 years of relevant work experience required

* Able to travel 10-20% of the time (domestic and international)

* Location of the position is in Mountain View, CA
