Job Description
Mission:  To provide quality, reliable, cost effective, pretreatment and chemical feed systems, which require a minimum of installation time and mechanical/electrical expertise of our sales force and customers.  Our primary business and revenue stream is the sale of water treatment chemicals.  The primary goal of the Production Supervisor is to coordinate jobs, inspect equipment for quality, and ensure orders are shipped on time.  Meeting these goals will minimize the time spent by our field force for equipment installation and start-up, while maximizing the time available for the pursuit of new chemical sales and business. 

Purpose of the Job:  Administrative position that uses Oracle to process manufactured jobs, shipping transactions, and return authorizations for warranty equipment.      

Level of Authority:  The Production Assistant performs work under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager.  Latitude is given for independent actions and decisions. 

Work Environment:  Work is mostly performed at a workstation in an office environment.   Some shipping functions are performed in a manufacturing environment with ambient temperatures varying between seasons from 40oF – 100oF. 
 

Work Hours:  Normal weekday office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.  Occasional overtime may be required to meet our sales force and customer needs.  Compensatory time off or overtime will be offered when these job requirements occur.

 

Travel:  No travel required.

 


 


Essential Job Functions:
 
  • Verify raw materials are in the correct inventory location before jobs are closed.
 
  • Verify serial numbers are correctly picked and assigned to jobs.
 
  • Move completed orders to the correct sub-inventory location for shipping.
 
  • Release jobs to sales orders for shipping.
 
  • Add weight, class, tracking number, and truck line to shipping transactions.
 
  • Print bill of laden, packing slip, and shipping labels and apply them to outbound shipments.
 
  • Create and book return orders in Oracle for warranty equipment.
 
  • Process warranty returns to suppliers for warranty credit, replacement, or repair.
 
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Complete special projects set forth by Operations Manager

Qualifications and Capabilities

 

TECHNICAL

 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  
 
  • Experience with Oracle a plus, but not required.
 

OTHER

  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
 
  • Must have writing ability sufficient to write correspondence and instructions.
 
  • Must have good communication skills to deal with the public and to work cooperatively with sales force and other company employees.
