Join us as our new Operations Process Engineer
You will work with production in downstream solids processing and upstream fermentation to ensure things operate smoothly and efficiently. You will be the first line of defense when issues are identified on the production floor, ensuring a quick learning environment. You will be able to drive process improvements and support with capital projects.

Become a member of the Milwaukee BioAg Operations team within Americas Operations. We are a small unit that works together to increase efficiency of product flow and technology utilization throughout production while promoting a working culture of ownership, creativity, and passion.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Being the first contact for Operations for trouble-shooting needs
  • Review PMDs (Process Manual Direction) with Technical Operators for deviations and escalate to Process Engineering as needed
  • Assist Technical Operations Specialist and Systems Management and Ops Specialist with process improvements
  • Assisting with optimizing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for Operations
  • Participating in Problem-Solving groups using Lean tools
  • Participate in Safety groups for Hazard Identifications and problem solving
  • Collaborate with engineers on capital projects for solutions, vendor contacts, and commissioning
  • Assist with monthly budget tracking of Cost Centers
To succeed you must hold:
  • BS or MS in engineering (Biomolecular, Biochemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred)
  • Ability to move about in the processing areas and be able to climb stairs, ladders, and enter tanks. Must possess visual acuity and physical ability to always support all functions of the job.
  • Hands on skills necessary
  • Versatile
  • Willingness to collaborate with others and be communicative with all levels of operations
  • Willing to seek out and embrace knowledge areas they are unfamiliar with
  • Have experience with Microsoft Excel and Visio
