Adult Rehabilitation Centers are the residential, drug and alcohol treatment units of the Salvation Army. Program participants come through all walks of life and through voluntary and judicial system referrals. The San Francisco program is available for both men and women between the ages of 18 – 65 and is offered to individuals at no charge. The ARC recognizes that the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the individual must be addressed before real progress can be achieved. The ARC offers a comprehensive program that includes counseling, work therapy and spiritual development.

This program is funded by private donations and the money earned from the sale of donated items in the Thrift Stores. The San Francisco ARC collects donations and has stores in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.
