Description

The Human Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University has an opening for a hybrid research and teaching Post-Doctoral position beginning August 2024. The post doctoral fellow will work with the PI and other faculty to create and refine current course materials and deliver them in the Masters of Educational Technology and Applied Learning Sciences (METALS) degree program. The postdoc will be expected to run classroom experiments and track outcomes.

The ideal candidate would combine strong experience in learning engineering applied to educational technology design and development with strong teaching experience at the graduate level. The candidate should have the research skills needed to analyze METALS course practice activities and refine knowledge component models in complex domains.

The postdoc will be supervised by Professor Ken Koedinger and include interactions with Associate Professor John Stamper.
