What to Expect

Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around January 2023 and continue through the entire Winter/Spring term (i.e., through April/May) or into early Summer 2023 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships. Please consider before applying.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. Again, please do not apply until you know you can work 40 hours per week. This is required for external applicants. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the team

Americas Commercial Sales Ops manages B2B orders, inventory movement, account onboarding and maintenance, analytics, logistic coordination, and any other tasks required to enable our commercial Sales team in the Americas region. The Business Analyst role in this team will be part of a global analytics community, but focus on supporting the Americas region, and provide innovative engineering solutions and insightful and detailed analysis/reporting.

What You'll Do
  • Work under the supervision of Sr Business analyst, partner with IT Data Architects and Business Intelligence team to ensure data integrity and correct mapping across various Tesla systems.
  • Work with Sales operations, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Project Management to improve business process, maintain key performance indicators to drive and manage the health of business.
  • Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting of Tesla Energy's business performance, including but not limited to sales, product, and service engineering performance.
  • Be subject-matter-export of all analytics tools and be responsible for data quality and integrity across all systems. Apply rigorous design-of-experience principle to ensure absolute data accuracy.
  • Translate data analytics business process needs into IT and process requirements, applies six sigma or lean methodology to refine analytics-related process and infrastructure.
  • Act as a conduit among cross-functional teams, present data insight for teams to identify the most pressing business issues and facilitate productive business discussion.
What You'll Bring
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's in engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Applied Analytics
  • Minimal 1 years of SQL, Tableau, advanced MSExcel modeling
  • Minimal 1 years performing business analytics
  • In-depth knowledge in Statics and process improvement
  • Experience in preparing executive reports and powerpoints
  • Prior experience with extremely fast-paced organizations is a must
  • Ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
