The Position

Start Date: September

Length of Assignment: 12 months, 40/hrs per week.
Location: This internship is currently planned to be on site in South San Francisco. It has the option for flexible work arrangements (to work remotely within the U.S. borders).

Education Level: Bachelor's or Masters degree, preferable

technical degree (science background), engineering, or operations management, or finance with science minor

Who you are:


The Intern responsibilities will be to support Local US and Global Category Managers, and will primarily be reporting to Local Category Manager for assigned categories. He/she will lead and manage (at least) one major project to support the Roche's Drug Product or Drug Substance Strategic Roadmap, provide ongoing support to Local Category Managers in leading cross-functional teams, developing/executing category strategies, implementing projects internally (within Roche) and externally (with suppliers) for operational optimization, quality improvement, global network alignment, new technologies, and cost savings initiatives. He/she shall also assist in regular management of Key Direct Material Suppliers to monitor metrics, forecasts, and supply to control commercial supply and quality performance.

Qualifications:

An ambitious Senior graduating with a bachelor's or masters degree, preferable

technical degree (science background), engineering, or operations management, or finance with science minor, and a strong interest in biotech.

Available for a 1-year internship.

Strong communication, leadership/collaboration, and project management skills

Ability to operate and execute effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines.

Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion

Highly effective at building internal and external relationships.

Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint, Google tools.

Self-starter with an agile mindset & hands-on mentality who navigates and takes advantage of ambiguity to seek the most effective and sustainable outcomes.

Process-oriented with strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing and persuasion skills

Demonstrates a sense of urgency and proactive approach that is focused on results

For Colorado and New York-based applicants, the expected salary range for this position is $21-$50 hourly. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for the benefits listed below.
