The Brookline, MA. Police Department is currently accepting applications to fill several Civil Service vacancies for the position of Police Officer via a lateral transfer. Applicants must have completed a full-time MPTC approved police academy and have civil service status under Chapter 31. We are seeking officers who are proactive in community policing with proven reliability and problem solving skills. Applicants must be eligible for a lateral transfer from a civil service police department and must meet civil service requirements. Officers must have a minimum of a years' experience as a full time patrol officer.

Salary range for patrol officers is currently $55,168 - $64,691 plus additional stipends if eligible. Various other contractual benefits include; educational stipends, vacation, personal and sick time. 48 hours of contractual In-service training is paid on an overtime basis. All candidates will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, oral interview, and medical and psychological examinations. Position opened until filled.
