The Information Systems Operational Technology (OT) Intern will have the opportunity to join a fast paced international company with over 100 years of history.

The Intern will have the opportunity to work on and be responsible for:

  • Participate as a team member on PI System applications through installation, implementation and support
  • Assist with project implementations
  • Commissioning and testing of new PI systems
  • Provide troubleshooting
  • Development of design documentation

Required Skills

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the MS Windows 10 Operating System
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and web based solutions
  • Understanding of IT systems, Automation, and network infrastructures
  • Organized with an attention to detail
  • Team player, reliable, positive, pleasant attitude a must

Required Experience and Education

  • Completed at least three years toward a degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field
  • 3.0 Minimum GPA preferred
  • Software development (Visual Studio, Java)
  • Database (SQL, MySQL)
  • Understanding of object-oriented software development
  • Use of SQL for database creation, query & management

Safety and Procedures of the Intern position

  • Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures applicable to the job
  • Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned
  • Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified

Physical Demands of the Intern position

While performing the responsibilities of the Intern's job, the employee must be able to see, speak, and hear. The employee is often required to sit/stand and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Work Environment for the Intern position

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
