This internship role is part of Signify Research located in Cambridge, MA, a center of excellence on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning Innovation for Signify. The team works together with the Signify global Research, businesses and functions on AI/ML. Its responsibilities are at the heart of driving AI/ML innovations for systems, new IoT propositions, and innovative apps.

Together we can...

Build an IoT data analytics platform to connect people, lighting, and facility with machine learning algorithms. Responsibilities include

  • Design and develop probabilistic machine learning algorithms using lighting IoT sensor data;
  • Explore deep learning and probabilistic approaches to fuse multi-modality sensor data;
  • Develop and optimize the real-time algorithms for running on IoT devices and in the cloud;

You are...

Open minded, curious and innovative and aligned with our company values and aims and you bring the following experiences and competencies:

  • PhD or master student whose research focuses preferably on Bayesian inference and machine learning;
  • Good software engineering skills with C, Python, Java, etc.;
  • Experience with a deep learning framework such as SKLearns, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.;
  • Experience with cognitive psychology, evidence-based design, human factors research;
  • Experience with database including SQL, NoSQL, RDS, etc.

Towards the end of the internship, we will ask the intern to prepare a technical report as well as a presentation for the department. Duration (~start/end dates):Jan 10th - May 27th 2022
