Job Description

Summary:

The Senior Contracts Manager is an integral part of the Global Commercial Operations Team. The individual will work with the Americas regional field sales teams by helping with the sales process from start to finish, including managing commercial contracts and other operational functions. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Data Security, Regulatory, and Service to negotiate opportunities that provide a beneficial outcome for both customers and Accuray. A successful candidate is detail-oriented and a self-starter, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrates exceptional multitasking ability under tight deadlines in a fast-past environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Supporting a dedicated team of sales representatives and acting as the primary point of contact for assigned Americas territories.

  • Review, draft, redline, negotiate, and administer commercial contracts in accordance with internal policies and best practices while evaluating both business and customer needs and making recommendations to sales representatives and Senior Management.

  • Exercise exceptional knowledge and judgment of the legal, financial, regulatory, and business risk in purchase order and commercial contract terms and conditions. Must be able to communicate these risks to company decision makers.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to the sales team and cross-functional partners in all aspects of the sales process including profitability analysis, contracting, order management, reporting, and process improvement efforts to support the business.

  • Maintain alternative contract language library and amend existing contract templates in collaboration with our Legal department.

  • Contribute to the development of sales enablement tools (e.g., quoting, contract automation, processes and procedures, FAQs, etc.).

  • Assist with various corporate projects, as required.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent progressive work experience.

  • Minimum of eight (8+) years of solid experience in a sales support function, including drafting, negotiating, and editing various commercial documents. Experience with Health industry and Capital equipment agreements is preferred.

  • Ability to analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, Government regulations, legal, SOX, and revenue recognition requirements.

  • Capable of identifying issues for escalation to legal and/or management. Able to review, understand, redline and negotiate sales, service, and distribution contracts.

  • Excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with sales, customers and internal teams.

  • Self-motivated and resourceful team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to effectively multi-task several complex assignments with tight deadlines and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM is strongly desired.

  • Strategic thinking, has aptitude to influence others, creative problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones when needed to collaborate with global team members.
