Overview

Springs Window Fashions is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Sales & Marketing team! The Retail Operations Internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist the team with project support while providing valuable work experience related to your chosen field of study. We also offer a competitive hourly wage and summer housing stipend to all our interns!

The ideal candidate should be at the junior level or higher on track to obtain a degree in business management, marketing or communications from an accredited college. The ideal candidate's general coursework should include business, marketing or economics related classes.

Job Purpose

The primary role of this Internship is to help manage the coordination of account program executions, initiatives, projects and process activities to meet sales and marketing objectives for multiple Retail and Internet accounts. This individual will be responsible for managing the coordination of projects as well as assigning work and prioritizing projects across the team. The intern will be expected to work across the organization and implement projects through Middleton and/or retail field sales.

Projects/Responsibilities

* Stock Program Analysis
* Gather competitive data and a clear description of the current stock assortment to prepare for a potential line review in 2H 2021
* Identify assortment, key features/benefits by stock category, potential SWF improvements to the offering, price point and margin analysis
* Work closely with Product Management, Retail Ops and National Accounts team to coordinate project

* Competitive Intelligence - Product, Price & Promotional Analysis
* Compare website content for top Internet accounts, key competitors, price comparison at retail locations, promotions, banner ads, etc.
* Create a process and standard work to be updated quarterly
* Assess on product assortment, pricing, promotions, and sampling
* Document findings and draw conclusions from the data and make recommendations or convey what you've uncovered
* Look in-depth at private label offerings vs. branded assortments as part of the assessment

Requirements

Experience Skills & Abilities:

* Proficient computer skills Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Lotus Notes, MS Project and Access
* Data collection and management of database.
* Intermediate/Advanced math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Must communicate well and properly document results of data, research, analysis, competitive products, and presentations
* Must be organized, methodical, quality minded, detail oriented, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Experience and knowledge of typical data collection and analysis
