Job Description
This requisition is a pipeline requisition in anticipation of potential needs.
Hermes Microvision, Inc. (HMI), a division of ASML, is a leading supplier of advanced E-beam inspection and pattern verification systems used for advanced semiconductor devices.
As a Senior Design Engineer at HMI / ASML San Jose, you will develop software for advanced E-Beam inspection tools and solutions. You are a collaborative team player that enjoys mentoring more junior level engineers as well as partnering with other team members to build robust software in support of ASML's e-Beam product line.
Carry out software development tasks following ASML Product Generation Process.
Utilize skills and knowledge in software architecture, OOD, motion and electron optic system control to design, implement and optimize software modules for system control, calibration and process automation.
Write professional requirement, design document and test plan.
Design and perform module unit test, simulation and system integration tests.
Carry out performance analysis, troubleshooting and technical support.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Education
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent. Masters or PHD considered as well with less experience.
Experience
Minimum of 5+ years hands-on, relevant, work related experience in Windows software development with C#, C++ or Java with Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 3+ years hands-on, relevant, work related experience with Master's Degree. PHD (New College Grad) with less years of experience.
Strong knowledge in software architecture design, OOD and design patterns.
Experience in .Net Remoting, state machine, parallel programming is essential.
Hands-on work experience with TCP, RS232, WCF and WPF.
Experienced with Git, Agile workflow and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Strong English communication skills - both written and verbal.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately less 10%.
Strong knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
