Job Mission

The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in supporting our existing infrastructure, and help us bring that infrastructure into the cloud.  We automate, build tools and pipelines, and create infrastructures in order to support our Computational Lithography applications and platforms.

Job Description

We are looking for a mid-level to senior DevOps engineer. Requirements are a solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and the ability to program in higher level programming language such as Python or Go and experience in a lower level language such as D, Rust, C or C++. This position requires programming experience with multi-threaded/multi-process distributed applications. This position is to create new engineering practices that will be used within our software company to keep up with our growth. This engineer will work with NFS/CIFS filers, batch schedulers, backup and recovery, and expanding our resources from on-premise virtualized and bare-metal systems to the Azure cloud platform.

 
Education
Bachelor's Degree in related field; Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience with three or more of the following:

*       Scientific/research computing

*       HPC or batch workloads

*       Linux System Administration

*       CI/CD workflows

*       Kubernetes/docker

*       Configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, etc

*       Bare metal and cloud imaging

*       Code profiling

*       Unit test frameworks

*       AWS, Azure, OpenStack or some other cloud platform

Personal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with other engineers, product managers and customer support
Context of the position

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings.
