ABS Collateral Associate - Houma, LA

Summary:

The Collateral Associate is responsible for analyzing and monitoring a client's collateral to ensure the validity of assigned collateral. They will be responsible for preparing, monitoring and reconciling various reports. They will prepare collateral reconciliation and balance DDA accounts on a daily basis. The Collateral Associate will be responsible for working with clients and account executives to resolve any discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor client's collateral to ensure the validity of assigned collateral.

  • Calculate client's available collateral following established procedures.

  • Review and analyze client's accounts receivable performance, identify ineligible collateral following prescribed guidelines and reconcile client's collateral balances.

  • Prepares summaries of client's accounts receivable.

  • Review and analyze client's inventory consignments and prepare reports on client's inventory activity.

  • Review reports and documentation submitted by clients on a daily basis.

  • Prepare necessary documentation to process client's daily payment and advance requests.

  • Input data on client accounts into the bank's ACBS loan accounting system via ECC Schedule module for tracking and trending purposes.

  • Access the ACBS/ALS accounting systems to reconcile the loan balances to the collateral monitoring database.

  • Initiate book transfers through IMPACS/Emulator to clear exceptions in the dominion accounts.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly verification letters. Send out second request letters if necessary. Follow up on any exceptions or non-responses. Prepare verification summary report with findings for account executive to review and approve.

  • Discuss and resolve any discrepancies in the collateral reports with the client.

  • Assist account executives with verification of tax liens and peer to peer funding.

  • Ensure all collateral reporting is scanned into DocView or sent to Iron Mountain for proper retention period.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • At least 2 years of experience in a credit or lending environment
