Academy of Art University's School of Acting is seeking to hire an individual experienced in video editing. The ideal candidate will assist with creating reels for the University's student works. Responsibilities include:

  • Sync dailies from shoots
  • Create several edits of shoots under the supervision of the shoot's Directors
  • Create reels of actors' work
  • Edit behind the scenes of actors' work and shoots
  • Assist with social media editing for Schools of Entertainment (Motion Pictures & Television, Writing and Acting)

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of post-production editing software including Adobe Premiere and Avid
  • One year of professional experience in video editing is preferred
  • Be reliable and capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail is key to success in this role
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are highly desired as well
