Academy of Art University is seeking a full-time College Outreach Representative to join our outreach efforts within the San Jose / South Bay area. Outreach Representatives visit high schools and community colleges to give prospective art students information about what Academy of Art University has to offer.

IMPORTANT: You will be expected to use your own vehicle for outreach visits. The University will reimburse for mileage.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Partner closely with high school and community college contacts to schedule presentations to San Jose / South Bay area students
  • Conduct engaging presentations while creating new relationships with new schools in the area
  • Travel to different schools throughout the week conducting a total of about 10-15 presentations per week
  • Attend Academy events both off-site and in San Francisco including, but not limited to, open houses, open studios, college fairs and industry events
  • Assist with the admissions application process offsite and other admissions projects as needed

About you:

  • Self-starter and enjoy working independently
  • An expert on the San Jose / South Bay area
  • High energy and have experience in Marketing or Public Relations
  • Excellent, engaging presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility and able to multitask

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is highly preferred with an emphasis in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications
  • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Have a reliable mode of transportation
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
