As one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking a Pre-Construction Electrical Estimator to join our Shawnee, KS team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Pre-Construction Electrical Estimator you will skillfully work with our project management, estimating, and sales departments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in Accu-bid, Excel, Word and have excellent customer service skills. We are seeking candidates with strong and positive organization skills to assist with project coordination.

A Pre-Construction Electrical Estimato rwill:

• Work with sales and other internal groups to determine the proper bid strategy
• Files and maintains all quotation related documents in appropriate software
• Process project submittal requests within 24 hours of request
• Review post bid approvals on all assigned projects
• Posses current knowledge of market conditions and innovations that can improve productivity
• Consults with clients, vendors, foremen, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Estimate changes for addendums on projects
• Provides proper project turn-overs to management
• Accu-Bid software experience a plus

• High School diploma or GED, and prior estimating experience
• Knowledge of the electrical commercial and industrial construction industry and products within the Kansas City metropolitan area
• MUST be able to pass drug and background screen
• Must work at an intermediate level of Accu-bid, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficient in take-off estimator planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask while staying organized
• Self-Motivated
