Academy of Art University is currently hiring for a College Campus Security Guard who will work within a team that is vital to the safety of our blended student, faculty and staff population. This person will need to possess strong communication and customer service skills, be able to exercise good judgement and be comfortable driving city streets in San Francisco. Responsibilities include:

• Patrol each campus building and respond to calls for service as needed
• Document patrol and shift activities on a daily basis
• Open and close buildings per hours of operation
• Give breaks to Campus Hosts and fellow Patrol Officers
• Investigate crimes and incidents reported by students, staff and faculty members
• Complete detailed written investigative reports
• Report all building maintenance issues to the appropriate departments
• Provide escorts as needed and directed
• Assist with special event coverage

Requirements:

• Have a current and valid CA Guard Card
• Have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Academy's provider
• Possess 2 - 5 years experience in a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication - be able to effectively communicate policies and safety procedures
• Use sound judgement in difficult situations
• Demonstrate commitment to providing quality customer service
• Possess effective time management and organizational skills
• Be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time

Work Hours:

• Our Patrol Officers work a 4/10 hour schedule (4 days per week / 10 hours per shift)
• Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (9:00pm -7:30am)
