Reporting to Mellon Capital Management's Executive Vice President, Head of Global Distribution, the Head of Client Relationships, Service, and Consultant Relations will ensure that every aspect of the client experience is best in class and consistent with Mellon Capital’s collaborative culture and commitment to putting clients’ interests first.
Responsibilities:
·As both a player and a coach, the incumbent leads a team of relationship managers and client service managers in their roles as primary day-to-day contacts for all institutional investment management clients including public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, and mutual funds.
·The incumbent will oversee the effective communication and relationship management of all company clients by the client service team. S/He will lead the institutional client service managers in developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives intended to identify and satisfy client needs.
·The incumbent will work with portfolio managers, client service managers, investment strategists and marketing and sales staff and any other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures for serving existing institutional clients.
·S/he will be responsible for effective communication and relationship management of all distribution channels that the company services.
·Other significant areas of focus are the continued professional development of the team; continue the evolution of the team support structure; support existing and create new management tools that enable the status of the client base to be known; support existing and new initiatives (i.e. client retention, client rationalization, etc.).
The qualified candidate will possess a BA or BS degree in business, economics or similar advanced degree; MBA or CFA designation. S/He will have ten year’s experience in the investment field, exceptional interpersonal, leadership and management skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively follow-up and resolve issues required. Broad knowledge of the institutional investment industry, securities markets, trust operations and investment relations also required. S/He will also possess excellent skills in Word, Excel and database applications.
