| Specific Responsibilities: | The MBA Intern, HR Strategy and Program Management reports to the Associate Director and helps manage the strategic implementation of employee and company programs and processes. This includes conducting detailed research and analysis, developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management and driving overall project management and implementation activities. The MBA intern partners with the HR Leadership Team to manage multiple strategic projects and initiatives related to M&A activities, Employee Engagement, Compensation, Organizational Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition. |
| Essential Duties and Job Functions: | Work cross-functionally within HR and across other departments to frame complex problems, apply creative analytics and formulate practical solutions. Contribute to strategic and tactical planning for the HR Function in an internal strategy consulting role. Analyze existing data and industry best practices to ensure programs are meaningful and aligned to the overall business strategy. Develop and maintain detailed work plans which include identification of project tasks, clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities, schedules, plans, resources, budget and status reports. Provide assistance in the planning, development and communication of HR programs. Superior performance and hiring need may allow for Summer Intern to transition into full-time role in HR Strategy and Program Management. |
| Knowledge, Experience and Skills: | Requires a BA/BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR, Business or Biosciences. Must be enrolled in a full-time MBA program with a minimum of 3 years of relevant strategy/management consulting, project management and business analytics experience. Biopharma experience preferred but not required. Skills Required: Proven track record in strategic thinking, analytics, problem solving and project management. Excellent leadership and presentation skills. Ability to balance and assess conflicting business priorities. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with a focus on driving results. Ability to effectively prioritize and multi task in a high-pressure environment. Knowledge of HR programs and processes. Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines. Ability to consult with and influence senior members of management (HR and line). High proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. |
