Job Summary

Applies advanced software concepts to plan, design, develop, modify, debug, deploy and evaluate highly complex software for ERP Financial system. Analyzes existing highly complex features or works to formulate logic and devises algorithms for new highly complex enhancements. Performs highly complex data analysis and tests / debugs, working directly with other peer groups, infrastructure teams, 3rd party systems and vendor. Initiates, analyzes, designs and applies highly complex data sources. Applies and enforces complex programming security practices. Specifies, develops complex Technical design and specifications. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Performs or directs highly complex data modeling, performance and integration testing and builds interfaces. Determines source code control techniques and configuration management design and changes. Prepares and obtains approval for system and programming documentation. Initiates and oversees changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Perform feasibility studies, develop estimates and gather technical requirements for complex enhancements or integration with 3rd parties. Understands and applies industry practices, community standards and department policies and procedures in depth. May serve as technical lead for multiple development projects of moderate to broad scope. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of software and business professionals to deliver complex software solutions. Mentor junior team members as needed.

Position is based out of and reports to UCSF's facilities at 1855 Folsom Street, San Francisco, CA 94143, but allows for the option to telecommute from a home office anywhere in the United States.

UCSF IT provides infrastructure, network, security, analytics, integration, and application support services, and is essential to the organization's ability to support growth, mitigate security risk, and manage, store and share sensitive information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Applied Computer Science or closely related field plus at least eight years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience as an applications engineer, programmer analyst, or developer engaged in PeopleSoft development
  • Must possess at least 8 years of experience with the following:
    • PeopleCode, PeopleTools (8.56+), Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker.
    • PeopleSoft Financial Technical specification, design, modification, implementation, upgrade and deployment of large-scale scope.
    • PeopleSoft reporting tools (PS Query, Tree Manager, PS/nVision, Crystal Reports, SQR, BI Publisher).
    • Fluid, Work Center, Security and integrations between PeopleSoft FSCM modules, PeopleSoft HCM and with multiple 3rd party systems Infrastructure & configuration of Application Server, Web Server and Process Scheduler as related to PeopleSoft.
    • Oracle Database (12c), AIX/Linux/Window Operating Systems.
    • PeopleSoft FSCM modules, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing, Billing, Receivables.
    • Triaging of issues, timely resolutions of all assignment while juggling priorities.
    • Identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
    • Communicating technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
    • Experience with the following technologies - JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Branding, iScript, Application Packages.
