We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Electromagnetic Engineer to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in developing numerical electromagnetic techniques such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), and Method of Moments (MoM). This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to spearhead the development of innovative solutions that will shape the future of quantum computing.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement of cutting-edge numerical electromagnetic algorithms tailored to the design of superconducting qubits and other types of qubits.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and refine electromagnetic components and architectures for quantum computing applications.

  • Drive the validation and verification process of computational models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in predicting qubit behavior and performance.

  • Architect and optimize computational workflows to address specific challenges inherent in superconducting qubit systems and their Hamiltonian representations.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational electromagnetics and quantum computing, actively contributing to ongoing research initiatives.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in development practices.


Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of 8+ years of software development experience for computational electromagnetics applications.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience implementing numerical techniques such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), and Method of Moments (MoM).

  • Strong proficiency in C++ programming language in the context of developing numerical techniques for computational electromagnetics.

  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation software packages (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, Keysight EMPro, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics).

  • Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to tackle complex challenges in quantum computing.

  • A result-driven, self-motivator able to follow the Agile software development process.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge or experience in the Hamiltonian analysis of superconducting quantum circuit is a plus.

  • Experience with optimization algorithms tailored to superconducting qubit systems.

  • Understanding of SPICE simulator and Netlists.

California Pay Range: MIN $ 132,330.00- MAX $242,000.00

Washington Pay Range: MIN $ 132,330.00 - MAX $ 220,550.00

Colorado Pay Range: MIN $ 122,530.00 - MAX $204,220.00

New York City Pay Range: MIN $ 145,200.00 - MAX $ 242,000.00
